The ALL New Genie-Lock Vehicle Immobiliser

Introduction to the Genie-Lock Immobiliser

The Genie-Lock Immobiliser Interrupts up to four critical circuits on your vehicle, giving the installer multiple fitment options.  If you are paying someone to install it for you, then they should discuss these options with you before fitting it.

This feature makes it extremely difficult to be bypassed

The Genie-Lock has 12 identical wires which exit its body in a random order.  each wire has an identification label for the installer to identify it. These labels are removed after fitting making it virtually impossible for the wires to be identified and bypassed after it is fitted.

Further to this if you opt to immobilise the door locks  with the Genie-Lock correctly fitted. it would be extremely difficult and time consuming for a thief to get access to the Genie-Lock itself.

The Genie-Lock connects to your mobile phone via a secure Bluetooth connection with a secret code. Up to 5 mobile phones can be paired to the Genie-Lock allowing for multiple users of a vehicle and allowing for back up if you loose or break your phone.

We do not keep a record of these secure codes and do not give them out to anyone. Also we do not retain any information regarding the order of the wires exiting the Genie-Lock.

The Genie-Lock immobiliser can not be blocked with phone signal blocking equipment, and shuts down for 10 minutes if it detects hacking software.

The Genie-Lock Immobiliser connects to your phone using the "Genie-Lock toolbox app" via a secure bluetooth connection.

Your Genie-Lock comes with a 6 digit passcode which is used to pair your phone, once paired you need keep the passcode safe so that you can pair more phones at a later date if required.

For total security you can simply simply close the app and lock your phone. with the app closed your phone will not connect to the Genie-Lock meaning that even if both your keys and your phone are stolen, your vehicle is still safe.

Pimp My Box

Ltd

Bringing 21st century Technology to 20th Century products

Pimp My Box Ltd was created in 2018 after its founder had an idea for a new product.

As an ex vehicle technician himself and later as a Snap-On franchisee,  Karl Arnold knew that technicians the world over had the same problem.

Vehicle technician's tend to spend thousands of pounds on High end Professional tools and a few thousand more on a really secure cabinet to store them in. But because of the pressures from work they leave their tool cabinet unlocked all day long.

Most technician's respect each others property and would never intentionally take another persons tools and not return them, but due to the pressures of the job, tools are sometimes borrowed without the owners consent and not returned.

We are not suggesting that they are stolen  but they are frequently borrowed and not returned.

In 2014, as a Snap-On franchisee Karl started asking his customers Questions  every time they bought a replacement tool about how they lost it,  the results were staggering. Karl soon realised that on average a technician would have £128.00 worth of tools taken from their toolboxes every year. which amounts to £5760 over a typical career.

Karl realised that what was needed was a toolbox that could lock itself every time that the technician leaves their workspace and unlocks when they return. He knew that the technology existed to make this happen and in 2017 he started work on a design.

Karl believes in sustainability and didn't want to make people change their toolbox to benefit from the new technology, so Karl decided to make a retrofit system.

the design spec was as follows.

A retro fit system that can fit a range of toolboxes that is easy to fit without any modification to the toolbox.

It must be invisible from the outside and not compromise the security of the toolbox.

The toolbox must still be able to be opened with the key if the system fails

The device should be mains powered as no-0ne would want to change batteries

the device should be of at least the same high quality as the toolbox that it is fitted to.

After discussing the concept with his customers Karl added something else to the design spec It had to work from the customers mobile phone" this proved to be the most challenging and costly part of the design, but Karl didn't want to burden the technicians with having to carry a remote device or key fob as it is just another thing to loose, break or a battery to replace.  Karl wanted to give the technicians a system that worked seamlessly without them doing anything that they don't already do.

As an Engineer with 3D cad experience, a knowledge of electronics and Programming, Karl was able to do much of the design work himself and By 2020 Karl Had a fully working Prototype ready for testing.

We now have a range of products available to order on line

with more products constantly under development

The Genie-Lock vehicle immobiliser

Pimp My Box have dedicated themselves to solving security problems that just work without  the user having to do anything different.

Aware of the rising level of vehicle theft in the UK,  Karl realised that he could adapt the Genie-Lock circuit to work as a vehicle immobiliser. so that the vehicle could only be started and driven away if the owners phone was present. and Hence the Genie-Lock Immobiliser was born
